Convert the Pain of Social Distancing into Blessings

Imagine If we 10x the impact of social distancing to fight against corona virus without vaccines and drugs. It will be a blessing in disguise. An analysis of 148 different studies involving more than 300,000 people found that people who were more socially connected were 50 percent less likely to die over a given period. One experiment even found that people with many social ties are less susceptible to the common cold and this may well turn out to be true for coronavirus. It is clear that our anti-viral response is suppressed when we feel lonely. This is exactly the danger we face because of following social distance norm. While we appreciate social distancing, measure helped us to delay spread of corona virus on other hand our brain is bound to get message of being lonely. This may also be major factor in rising cases of corona out of fear impacting kidneys through cortisol stress hormone and loneliness. Default mode of mind is negative as when we spend most time in four negative of the total five basic emotions, fear, anger, disgust and sadness and it automatically makes our negative response. We must invest in joyful activities. For God sake treat it as compulsory otherwise we are bound to suffer. The solution above problem is simple we must break this negative impact with doing certain things. Call, video chat, share photos and updates on social media or what’s app with your loved ones and reduce the TV watching times to less than 5 min to any negative news and try to do something creative to reinvent yourself. By doing this we will turn our weakness of social distancing into strength and that is going to enhance our adaptive immunity required to fight any disease.
